I took classes here for 3 weeks and had a wonderful experience. My teachers (Lola and Sergio) are highly competent teachers who make learning Spanish fun. The students in my class are from all over the world (Brazil, England, Morocco, Tunisia, New Zealand, Italy) which positively adds to the learning experience. The director and School staff are nice and helpful people. The school apartment is located conveniently in a very nice neighborhood, 10 minute walk from school. It is well-appointed. U.S. students should be aware though that it is common in Spain to have male and female students in a shared apartment. If you are not comfortable, ask first. I have all female roommate so that wasn't a problem.

Academia Contacto is a highly recommended place in Madrid to learn Spanish? . The teachers ?‍? are skilled , experienced, and passionate. The curriculum is comprehensive, covering all aspects of language learning. Cultural immersion activities enhance the learning experience. The facilities are excellent, with comfortable classrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's a standout institution for Spanish language learning. Highly recommended for all proficiency levels. Interactive teaching methods make learning engaging. Relevant course materials are provided.

The class size was a bit too large and also uncomfortable for the room size. The teacher and assistant would laugh quite a bit when students were incorrect.
Generally were not the most helpful or flexible. I asked for options of changing my classes and received a reply 'no, sorry no trading'.  I requested guidance around the city and was just told to look online - all fine responses, but definitely underwhelming.

Es un verdadero placer estudiar español en Academia Contacto Madrid con estudiantes de todo el mundo.
Un nivel de estudio muy avanzado, profesores profesionales y agradables, el personal de la escuela está siempre atento y listo para ayudarte.
Te lo recomiendo mucho !
Sigue siendo una de las mejores experiencias de mi vida.

I am really grateful this school for incredible learning process. I had no idea that studying smth new could be so awesome. Teachers are truly know their business! I came to this school to learn Spanish to deal with some professional things, but I’d fallen in love with Spanish by teacher’s help.
Moreover, I want to stress that class’s atmosphere was very friendly. In spite of the fact that we all were from different countries, we really supported each other. One more time: thank you very much for what you are doing!

I've been taking classes here for 2 weeks, I'm a beginner (A1). The school is great, the classrooms are clean, and the staff and teachers are friendly. The course is well designed, and the Spanish is specific to Spain. I'm taking the intense course and I've learn a lot very quickly. Also, Laura is a great teacher! I'm very happy with my decision to take classes here.

Quisiera compartir mi malestar durante el examen DELE A2 que he realizado en esta academia.
Me parece que no disponen de las instalaciones adecuadas para llevar a cabo un examen con tantos participantes.
Disponen de 6 o más aulas pequeñas, donde estábamos "apilados", codo con codo con nuestros vecinos. Cada examinado tenía como mucho 60cm de ancho en su mesa.
En mi aula, de unos 6-8 m2, estábamos 7 participantes + la supervisora... Sin derecho a abrir las ventanas (una de las pocas aulas con ventana).
Una promiscuidad intolerable en cuanto a higiene (creo que seguimos en periodo de covid) y en cuanto a "seguridad" del examen, donde no se respetaba ninguna distancia entre participantes.
Entiendo que las academias privadas afiliadas al Instituto Cervantes quieran ganar más dinero, pero siempre tendría que cumplir una normas básicas para el buen desarrollo de las pruebas.
Esto dicho, no tengo opinión sobre la calidad de las enseñanzas de esta academia, porque no he recibido ninguna clase allí. Mi opinión solamente trata de la academia como centro de exámenes oficial del Instituto Cervantes. No volveré a elegirla para futuros exámenes.

I have taken Spanish lessons twice at Academia Contacto in Madrid. Both times have truly been fantastic experiences, and I am so happy to have discovered a Spanish academy that is so dedicated to its students and their learning. The teachers are highly qualified and experienced foreign language instructors, and they understand how to work with a variety of different learning styles and student demographics. Class sizes are large enough for diverse and vibrant interactions, but small enough to give each student personalized attention (5-8 students normally).

I appreciated how there were a variety of classes and levels offered, so that I always felt pushed to improve my Spanish without feeling as though the class was too easy or difficult for my level. Both times I chose to do 20 hrs of classroom instruction with 5 hrs of individual lessons. I enjoyed this option since it allowed me to practice multiple types of language skills while focusing on specific areas I needed to improve in. It was especially enjoyable getting to know my teachers, and the one-on-one lessons enabled me to greatly improve my conversation skills on a variety of subjects. I always felt that my teachers were prepared, knowledgeable about their language, and truly cared about their students. The instructors are not simply native Spaniards, but true masters of their language who understand the grammar and how to teach it to foreign learners.

For both of my visits I opted to stay in housing arranged by Academia Contacto. I selected a single room in a shared apartment, which meant that I was given my own room within a larger apartment shared with other individuals studying in Madrid. The accommodations were comfortable and located not far from the academy and other places of interest. The school itself is very centrally located and easy to get to, with great classrooms and a very modern/professional feel that made me feel comfortable and at home. The language school is mostly attended by Europeans in their 20s-30s, but also attracts some Americans and individuals from other regions. I found the students at the school to be friendly, interesting, and open to conversation.

Overall, an incredible language Academy, and I can't wait to come back! As an American, it can sometimes be scary to commit to something abroad, but taking lessons at Academia Contacto has definitely been a great choice.
